Now: Looking for something new

Last updated on February 12th, 2023

I touched on this in my last “Now,” but I am officially looking for what’s next in my career! I have finally gotten a bit of a portfolio online, and am starting to have conversations with studios. It is looking like April 19th will be my last day working at Louise Fili Ltd. If you know of any opportunities that might be a good fit or if you would like to work together, please get in touch!

Following the holidays, I’ve mostly had my head down working on my portfolio, gathering work, and generally thinking about what’s next. Which is mostly to say that I haven’t been running much lately. I’ve been able to squeeze a few runs in here and there, and to my suprise, have felt quite good on all of them. Now that I have some work online, I am eager to get back into running again. I have no races scheduled this year, and it is most likely going to stay that way considering how busy it seems things are going to be.

Kara and I are getting married in November, and I am proud to say that we have most of the big planning checkboxes checked. We visited the venue for the first time in early January, and we are very happy and excited about it.

Lastly, I’ve been making an effort to be a lot more social as of late. I have always considered myself to be very introverted and solitary, but it feels that is changing a bit. We have been talking about trying to host some dinner ”parties” this year. Honestly, my only goal this year is to host a Surf’s Up viewing party. Mark my words, this spring or summer it will happen!
